Waitangi Day

Wednesday 28th October: Today (or this day) we ('we' being Totara Class) drove to the Waitangi Museum. I  was in the car with Georgia, Ella, and Georgia's mum, Gina. It was SUPER fun. We were in the car for an hour and a half. We listened to loud music the whole way. Awesome if I do say so myself.

When we got there, we decided to... eat... just eat. Eat morning tea. Then we went in.

After a bit of waiting, putting our bags in cages, and talking (a LOT of talking) we finally marched in and it was AWESOME!! Like, as awesome as a fox in New Zealand. There were lights here and there, pictures of ancient Moari. It was awesome, but when I said more awesome than a fox in NZ... I didn't mean it. nothing is that cool.

Explanation about our school bike track

 Hi, my name is Arlo.

And this is a document.

I am in this document.

Right now.

Telling you about bike tracks.

Ok, I’m done. HELLO!! My name is Arlo and today we have… bike tracks? Yip. Bike tracks. But not any old bike track, (never thought i’d say ‘bike track’ so much in one day!!)

The Oruaiti School Bike Track™!!! It’s not Actually trademarked (yet…)

If you (for some strange reason) don’t know what a bike track is, I guess I have to tell you what it is. A bike track is a track that you ride bikes on. (which you should know already) Anyway, this is too long. So let’s just start writing (or reading, to you)

Oruaiti School has fourteen acres of land (and that’s a LOT), so we want to use some of it. What on you might ask? Well, you should know cuz of how many times i’ve said it. You got it? Do you now? Still thinking? GOT IT!! Awesome! Now don’t forget! Keep that in mind! Hold on. I need to remember what I was saying… *thinking noise* Right!! Ok.

Oruaiti School is going to be building a Dope bike track. (I’m gonna mark down all the times I say ‘bike track’ from now on), or as my friend lockie would say, A gangster bike track (or maybe he’d say gangsta. Dunno, don’t really need to know).

The track (ha! don’ t have to mark!)  is (presumebly) going to be made of gravel or dirt or stone. We’re not entirely sure. All I can say is that it’ll prob’ly loom awesome. Not just look it, be it. It’s a fun way to get off devices and have fun. And lot’s of it!! Of course, we only started thinking about this 2-3 months ago, so it’s not built yet. Our plan is is that it will start on the top right by Colins’ house, then go down the hill. I don’t know what happens from there on.

Oh. Your still here? I kinda thought you’d get bored. Well, I’m happy your still here. SO let’s get straight into it for once, shall we?

We’re going to bring our own bikes to ride on. We’ll also have a shed with no windows (so no one can break in) to store all our bikes in. I’m overly excited, but also worried about the fact that my smaller bike is old and rusty, and my newer bike is too big for me to get off without falling over. So that kinda needs to be sorted. I still love the idea of a bike track. IT’S GONNA BE SO AWESOME!!!! And now I have to move on to my conclusion.

Bringing this all into account, a bike track will improve the school intensely. I would love it, other kids would love it. We’re not sure about younger compatibility. But, hey, we’ll think of something. Anyway, that’s it. Make sure to have an INCREDIBLE day. I will see you next time… BYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
